Ben took today off too and we headed back to Pendleton.
By the time we got done with Ashtabula yesterday and got to actually go into Pendleton everything was closing. So we decided to go back today and catch all the little antique shops.
Pendleton is such a quaint sleepy little town…
We grabbed some lunch at a little cafe…
We made silly faces while we waited for our food. They were quite crowded.
But the food especially the dessert was definitely worth the wait.
We went to all the little shops an we ran across some strange things like this tin. Note the swastika. I think the Chickens quite enjoyed it they kept wanting to show us neat things they found.
We came home and tried to nap but it was hard because Leighton was about five inches from my face. I think she missed us.
My sweet mother watched the Chickens so Ben & I could go out to dinner for my birthday. It was so nice to have adult conversation but we both commented on how we missed the little buggers.
I saw this in one of the stores downtown. You certainly don’t see that everyday. I think they were having some kind of dress up thing.. We also ran into a hoard of zombies roaming the streets. I didn’t get a pic they were on the other side of the street but it was quite interesting. Come to find out it was the annual zombie walk. Who knew? Guess you run into those kind of things when you have a birthday in October !
