This  is Mason when he was about seven months old. I swear you forget how tiny your kids used to be! I almost can’t even remember him being this small. I mean look at that face I want to eat it.

It’s just hard for me to believe that he went from this to getting his own library card last month in five short years.  I just wish I could bottle him up and keep him small forever….

I think that is one of the hardest things about your kids having birthdays. You celebrate each mile stone, but you miss them being small and know that soon they will be all grown up.

So Happy Birthday Chicken. Your momma loves you!

After lunch Chicken wanted me to watch him play the wii. I still don’t understand why it’s fun to have someone else watch you play but hey it floats his boat. So I watched him play the wii and I fell asleep on the sofa. Chicken actually let me sleep for an hour.

When I woke up the living room was quite but I heard all this banging around in the den where all the toys reside. I heard Chicken tell Boo to ” run put this in the kitchen” and to ” hurry put that up”.

Then he comes in sees I am awake and says, ” Mommy come look what I did.” And I was met with this.

Yes he did this all himself.

He said, ” Mommy look I cleaned the den.”

And he sure had and then he told me to go look in the kitchen and he had completely cleared the kitchen table of all the lunch dishes!

I was so proud! But I also was thinking what 4 year old does stuff like that? All I have to say is I am very proud and thankful for my Chicken. Somehow despite our crazy parenting he’s turning out pretty darn good.

Boo and Chicken

Chicken. The eyes get me every time.

After the movie we went to get some McDonald’s which I blame on one of my Twitter friends because he mentioned McD’s. The Chickens ate with gusto and played on the playground. It’s really neat to see Chicken and Kyboo  play together so well.

After we gorged ourselves on yummy McD’s an American tradition we went home to vedge for a while.  Watched some tv and the Chickens ate more healthy food..

donuts!  This is Kyboo hamming it up.  So after hanging out at home for a while we decided to brave downtown. There were so many people there we had to park  way out but we found free parking which is hard to find when they are having events downtown.  We ditched the stroller I put Kyboo in my sling Ben had Chicken and we headed out.  We ended up having a lot of fun Kyboo was not quite sure what to think of all the people I think it’s the first time she has been in such a crowded area.

We got to see Mac Arnold perform  I loved his music.

Then we saw some awesome fireworks downtown near the Reedy River. Chicken really liked them Kyboo was not scared but she was more interested in watching the other people’s reaction then watching the fireworks.

Then we finished the night at Sonic a regular hangout for the Moffets. Kyboo had just heard a firework go off and was a little dazed in this picture. All in all it was a great day!
